“I work in marketing.” But what do you even do?

When someone says, “I am a marketing manager”, what does that mean to you? Not a whole lot? You’re not alone. I wrote this to break down a little bit of what it means to work in marketing: whether you’re considering a marketing career, or you just want to know what your friend does all day besides designing napkins.
